For the 40th year, marketing and sales professionals from around the country gathered for Greystone’s two-day Sales Adventure 2020 meeting. This year’s conference, held February 19 – 20, 2020 at the Westin at the Irving Convention Center in Las Colinas, Texas, featured a Camp Greystone theme that provided an environment for learning, fostering motivation, sharing best practices, and fun!
The programming included two days of educational sessions and various networking opportunities. On day one, attendees heard from Retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills, who shared his story about overcoming the loss of portions of both arms and legs during his third tour of duty in Afghanistan. Mary Munoz, Senior Managing Director of Senior Living Finance at Ziegler, provided us with an update of financial trends in our industry, and members of the Greystone Development Team shared their thoughts on development trends any community can implement.
Greystone Co-CEO John Spooner opened for us on day two, followed by the RiverWoods Durham team sharing how their single mindedness and teamwork allowed them to achieve a record-breaking feat: selling out in just 29 business days. First Vice Presidents of Marketing Tricia Mackin and Mindy Cheek closed out the morning discussing health care benefits and contracts. Afternoon breakout sessions included a variety of topics like diversity, culture match, and smart grid selling. On both days, Camp Counselors Barb and Jerry spearheaded our team-building activities and provided constant comedic relief!
Prior to the main event, a condensed group of Sales and Marketing Directors gathered to discuss a variety of topics specific to sales leaders and enjoyed two nights of small networking dinners.
