RiverWoods has served the seniors of New Hampshire and surrounding areas since 1994. The organization has strategically expanded through the years, twice adding new communities to its campus in Exeter.
Now, RiverWoods is moving beyond its original campus to start a new development in Durham, N.H., about 12 miles from Exeter. The new development will include 150 independent living units, 24 assisted living units, 24 memory suites and 24 skilled nursing beds on an 11-acre site that sits where Routes 2018 and 4 intersect.
Construction of the $70 million project is expected to begin in summer 2018 and reach completion in late 2019 or early 2020. Prospective residents have responded positively to plans for a RiverWoods campus in Durham — which is also the hometown of one of RiverWoods’ founders, Maryanna Hatch.
