Aberdeen Heights, a vibrant, new senior living community, opened its doors for residents to move in on September 7th, 2011. The $179 million, 18-acre community is located in the Kirkwood suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, on the former site of St. Joseph’s Hospital of Kirkwood. Aberdeen Heights features 243 independent living apartment homes with an array of amenities, including restaurant-style dining, a fitness center, indoor pool, creative arts studio, multi-purpose room, salon and spa, and underground parking garage. In addition to independent residential living, Aberdeen Heights’ on-site continuum of care will include 30 assisted living apartments, 15 memory support suites and 38 skilled-nursing rooms slated to open early in 2012.

The new community is owned and operated by Ashfield Active Living and Wellness Communities, Inc., a wholly owned corporation of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America, Inc. (PMMA). With more than 60 years of experience serving seniors, PMMA currently manages 18 communities in Missouri and Kansas. Greystone Communities performs consulting services for the development of the community as well as operations management and marketing services.
