The University of Oklahoma chose Concordia Life Care Community as a grant recipient for the 2014 edition of its Annual Community Service Day. On April 5, nearly 50 students made the short trip to Concordia to participate in a number of projects: weeding and mulching existing flower beds, planting Redbud trees near independent living and creating new flower beds for assisted living, memory support and skilled nursing residents. Concordia residents interacted with the students throughout the day and enjoyed a lunch donated by U.S. Foods.
Concordia is a Lutheran Senior Citizens-sponsored continuing care retirement community in Northwest Oklahoma City. Greystone is serving as management consultant.
