Miralea, a new independent living community in Louisville, Ky., achieved stabilized occupancy in June, more than two years ahead of projections. Located on an 11-acre portion of Masonic Homes of Kentucky’s Louisville campus, Miralea includes 90 independent living apartments and 12 independent living cottages. Together with the Sam Swope Care Center, also on MHKY’s Louisville campus, Miralea provides residents a full continuum of care.Opened in fall 2012, projections called for Miralea to reach the 90 percent stabilization point in September 2015. In June 2013, more than two years ahead of schedule, Miralea achieved 96 percent occupancy. By the end of July, residents will occupy all 90 apartments and 11 of 12 cottages. Forty-four prospective residents have signed up for Miralea’s waitlist.Miralea’s success can be attributed to the community’s high regard for Masonic Homes of Kentucky and to the efforts of the community’s marketing team, including Marketing Director Kristy Hubert, Senior Living Counselor Tammy Norkiewicz, Personalization and Move-In Coordinator Allison Garrett, and Marketing Assistant Lindsay Koch.
