It was a pleasure to join professionals from around senior living at last week’s LeadingAge Annual Meeting & Expo in New Orleans. As always, we enjoyed getting the chance to meet and speak with many of the attendees between sessions, during networking events and at our booth.
In case we didn’t get the chance to meet in New Orleans, we’d like to share with you a brochure we distributed at our booth. This brochure describes how Greystone helps non-profit providers reinvent their businesses. Your organization is unique, and so too are the challenges and opportunities it faces. As you look at the case studies inside, you’ll see examples of how we help provider organizations just like yours overcome their unique challenges and seize their unique opportunities.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your organization or the senior living industry as a whole, contact us today. Again, it was a pleasure to be with you in New Orleans, and we look forward to seeing you at next year’s Annual Meeting & Expo in Philadelphia.
John Knox Village has opened The Meadows, a new apartment complex on its campus in Lee’s Summit, Mo. — and the community has taken notice.
The Kansas City’s Star featured The Meadows this week, noting how it is John Knox Village’s way of “redefining” retirement living. The Meadows included 112 one- and two-bedroom apartments, as well as 33,000 square feet of meeting space, an aquatics center, a fitness center, dining venues and other amenities.
John Knox Village officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 23. Greystone served as development consultant on this project. See photos in the gallery below, and read the full story from the Kansas City Star.
Methodist Retirement Communities is in the process of closing on 19 acres in Fort Worth, where it plans to develop a new Life Plan Community called “Stevenson Ranch.” Plans for the $140 project call for:
- 159 independent living units
- 36 assisted living units
- 24 memory support suites
- 24 rehabilitation suites
- 16 skilled nursing suites
“We look forward to Stevenson Oaks carrying on the tradition of other successful MRC communities throughout Texas,” MRC President and CEO Ron Jennette said in a statement. “It’s an exciting time for our organization to grow our mission, serve more seniors, and help provide them and their families a secure future.”
Construction is expected to begin in late 2019, and Stevenson Ranch is expected to open in 2021. Greystone is serving as development consultant.
Stevenson Ranch is the next project in a series of successes for Methodist Retirement Communities, which is based in The Woodlands, Texas. Among MRC’s recent projects are the redevelopment of Crestview in the Bryan-College Station area, the opening of a new campus in League City, Texas, as well as another new campus in College Station, which is currently under development.
