Moldaw Family Residences in Palo Alto, California, has achieved overall occupancy above 92%, with a 100% reservation level and a waiting list of 60+. When Greystone began providing management and marketing services at Moldaw in June 2011, the community was just under 50% occupied. Since then, the team has worked very hard and through many challenging circumstances, accomplishingthese outstanding results.
Gulf Coast Village in Cape Coral, FL has been a Greystone management client for several years, and is now expanding their campus through additional healthcare units. This exciting project involves the repurposing of existing units along with constructing new ones.
The Greystone Sales School provides new employees with sales and database skills needed to excel in the industry. Topics covered during the training include an introduction to Greystone and the senior housing industry, the basics of the Greystone sales process and developmental phase break out sessions. Held at Greystone’s headquarters, the training also provides an opportunity for new employees to learn more about the Greystone corporate organization and meet other department representatives on their project team.

Prominent American economist, Dr. Arthur Laffer, is set to kick off The Greystone Event 2014 on July 10 in Irving, Texas with a discussion about The Longevity Economy. Dr. Laffer will discuss how today’s senior population will become increasingly more influential as voters and consumers as it grows in size and age, and the risks facing seniors as government policies change and lawmakers face pressure to address taxes and entitlement spending. These factors, and ideas on how providers can best position themselves for the future, will be presented followed by a question and answer session.

John Knox Village, a 450-acre retirement community in Lee’s Summit, MO, is implementing a multi-year strategic plan to redevelop areas of its campus. This redevelopment is expected to take place over the next three years and will total approximately $90 million.
The plan includes the addition of two new apartment buildings: one with 50 Independent Living apartment homes and another with 112 Independent Living apartment homes. New common areas with meeting and activity spaces, dining venues, a salon, fitness center, indoor aquatics center, workout room, fitness class space and other amenities will also be featured in this expansion.
