Executive Director Chet Surmaczewicz and Santa Marta are featured in the current issue of The Journal on Active Aging. The magazine interviews Mr. Surmaczewicz regarding the community and its hospitality culture. Greystone served as development consultant at Santa Marta and is now marketing and managing the community.
In June, Greystone’s Management Group held its annual Business Office Manager Conference, welcoming senior living professionals from continuing care retirement communities across the nation for a two-day visit to Irving, Texas. Nearly 30 managers from 15 communities were on hand to participate in presentations, idea sharing and education on a number of topics. See photos from this event in the gallery below.
Crestview Retirement Community has been given the 2012 Readers’ Choice Award for Best Retirement Community, as voted on by readers of The Eagle, a newspaper serving the Bryan-College Station area of Texas. Crestview is currently in the process of redevelopment. The first phase opened in 2011, including new assisted living apartments, a memory support center and a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. The second phase, an independent living community called “Arbor Oaks,” is now under construction.
Sponsored by Methodist Retirement Communities, Crestview has served Bryan-College Station seniors since 1964. Greystone is serving as development consultant on the current project.
Park Place of Elmhurst celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held June 27, on the Park Place campus in Elmhurst, Ill. Sponsored by Providence Life Services, Park Place includes 173 independent living apartments, 46 assisted living units, 20 memory support units and 37 skilled nursing beds. Greystone served as development consultant on this project.
